Invited by the Starter Gallery and the Roland Garros Committee to reflect on how design could be invited on the courts, Stéphanie re-invents the referee chair.

Its design, sculptural and elegant, displays impressive dimensions, at the scale of a tennis court.

Inspired by the world of tennis and its accessories, she redefines the curves and lines of this symbolic object, winning the challenge of bringing the typology of this functional object into a new aesthetic register. From now on, every detail is significant - its voluminous size, its colors, its aerial curves and its high-quality finishes.

Stéphanie Langard creates this totemic chair by imagining the movement of the referee who thus sits at the center of the court, as ifenveloped by solar rays.
